Ordered this item June 2022, received the item March 14th 2023, the best if use by date is March 31st 2023.
I hope the useful life is far greater than the “best if used by” date.
As I haven’t used it yet I can’t comment on the ratings above.

Dry milk is always good to have around because if you run out of milk and the kids want Mac and cheese, they can’t tell the difference. But I also use it for baking bread so I can still activate my yeast in water for recipes that call for milk. You can do so much with this like make hot cocoa, pancake mix where you just put in the dry ingredients and store them so you can make pancakes that you just add water to. So so much you can do with dry milk.

AFTER READING MANY OF THE REVIEWS, I THOUGHT I BETTER TRY IT. AND, I DID! I COULD NOT BELIEVE HOW GOOD THIS MILK WAS. MANY OF THE REVIEWS EXPRESSED WHAT I THOUGHT AFTER MAKING THE FIRST “BATCH.” GREAT TASTING. WONDERFUL TO HAVE ON HAND SO A PERSON DOESN’T HAVE TO GO OUT TO THE STORE IN THE WINTER TO GET MILK. GOOD IN COFFEE. GREAT IN MY OATMEAL IN THE MORNING. DEFINITELY NOT LIKE SOME POWDERED MILK I HAVE TRIED. AND FOR THE 3 + GALLONS IT MAKES, IT IS CERTAINLY QUITE REASONABLE. NOT ONLY SAVING ON THE GAS FOR A TRIP TO THE STORE IN THE COLD AND SNOW,, BUT THE CONVENIENCE OF JUST HAVING IT ON HAND. EVEN WITHOUT THE COLD AND SNOW. I HAVE ALREADY ORDERED 3 MORE! YOU WON’T BE SORRY.

I drink a gallon of milk or more a day! Ive been looking for a powdered milk that would taste like real milk. To be honest….i never thought i would find one!!! But i HAVE!!!! This milk is easy to make and tastes creamy like real whole milk. There is i very extremely slight taste that is different, but its so slight that i wonder if its all in my head because i know its powdered milk.
Im SO excited that i found this!!! Ive just ordered two more!!! Im thinking one container of this will make 4 gallons of milk! Ive made one and used 1/4 of the container!! The directions are small…so i had to search for them, but its pretty easy to figure out! Im sure my boyfriend is tired of hearing me say ” im SO happy i found this milk!”

Following doctors instruction to stop drinking coffee I have switched to decaffeinated herbal tea bags and found 2i verities I liked, at least with the addition of expensive Italian sweet cream creamer and, depending of the flavor, the addition of Nestle Strawberry or Chocolate powders. I bought the Nestle NIDO fortified whole milk powder specifically for use with chocolate powders that didn’t contain milk and thus still required the addition of the Italian sweet cream creamer to suit my taste but since then have found that also improves the taste of Nestle strawberry powder added teas which will eliminate the need for the Sweet Cream creamer and save me lots of money.

I haven’t had other powdered milks before, so I don’t have much to compare this to, but I’m a few weeks into using this as a liquid milk replacement, and it seems pretty good!
The only reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 is, as other people have noted, it has a kind of weird, non-milk taste/aftertaste to it. I’m guessing that’s the “fortified” bit, but it can be slightly offputting. (Some people like it, some don’t, apparently.)
If anyone wants to get rid of that taste, I’ve found that adding some honey seems to do the trick. I mix a batch at a time in a plastic milk jug, using HOT water, not warm, dollop of honey, and shaken very well, then chill it in the fridge, lasts me several days, and I don’t have to go out and buy more milk. Very convenient!
